Guessing Game Help

You should be able to guess the number almost every single time you play. To win, you must divide and conquer.

1. Your first guess should be 500 to eliminate half of the numbers.
2. If your guess of 500 is too high, then you know that the number is between 1 and 499.
3. If your guess of 500 is too low, then you know that the number is between 501 and 1000.
4. Likewise, your second guess should be either 250 or 750 to eliminate half of the remaining numbers.
5. Continue to guess numbers that are exactly halfway between the upper and lower limits of the remaining numbers until you know the exact number.
